Our Story
Where we started, and where we are going
RIVIA was originally established as Scent Strategy. For more than ten years under that name, we developed the technical expertise, the service processes, and the client relationships that form the foundation of what we are today.
The change to the RIVIA name reflects the direction we are moving, from being a scenting contractor to being an experience management partner. The name has changed. Our commitment to our clients has not.
Our mission is to change the way people experience spaces through scent. We work with malls, hotels, retailers, airports, and branded properties across the GCC to create scent experiences that are high-quality, consistent, and professionally managed.
We believe that a space that smells right makes the people inside it feel right. This is not a small achievement.

We only commit to what we are certain we can deliver. We do not make promises in proposals that we cannot keep in practice. Our documentation, service level agreements, and EQA process exist because being reliable is not a general principle, it is something we actively work to maintain.

We have more than ten years of deep experience in a specific field. We know this subject well. However, knowledge alone does not produce good service. We listen carefully, acknowledge what we do not know, and work alongside our clients rather than simply directing them.

RIVIA has been developing new capabilities from the start. This is not done for its own sake, it is done because our clients face real operational challenges that require real solutions.
More than a decade of in-house development
From our early work creating uniform fragrance diffusion through AC duct systems in large buildings, to building proprietary remote monitoring systems that allow us to track performance across many locations without being physically present, RIVIA has consistently converted operational challenges into structured, repeatable capabilities. We are not a supplier that installs equipment and waits.
Remote monitoring and management
Our remote monitoring system provides our operations team with real-time data on scent diffusion performance across all client locations. When performance deviates from the expected range, we identify it before your team does. This is one of the key reasons RIVIA's service interruption rates are significantly lower than the industry average.
OdourNull, built from repeated field experience
OdourNull is RIVIA's malodour counteractant service. Its origin is important to understand. It was not created in a research laboratory before a market need existed. It was built because we encountered the same problem repeatedly in high-traffic washrooms and transit environments: adding fragrance to mask a bad odour does not work. We identified the problem, developed a solution methodology, and structured it into a repeatable three-step process. That process is now OdourNull.

Innovation roadmap
RIVIA is currently working on three new development initiatives. The focus areas are: increasing service reliability, reducing operational complexity in demanding deployment environments, and expanding remote management capabilities. We will publish more information as each initiative reaches the deployment stage.
